Stainless Steel 310S is a low-carbon, high-chromium-nickel austenitic alloy built for extreme heat: It resists oxidation and scaling in continuous service up to roughly 1,100-1,150 °C, outperforming 309S at the highest temperatures.

Its room-temperature strength is comparable to standard austenitic grades, and it isn't optimized for chloride or marine exposure. It's best suited to furnace linings, radiant tubes, thermocouple wells, and other components in sustained high-temperature environments.
