ASA is a durable plastic with outstanding UV and weather resistance, which makes it the top choice for parts exposed to prolonged sunlight and outdoor conditions.

About
ASA (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate) was developed as an alternative to ABS with substantially better weather resistance. It resists the UV-driven yellowing and embrittlement that affects standard ABS over time, while offering comparable strength and impact resistance, plus somewhat better heat tolerance, holding its shape up to roughly 90 °C. ASA also resists many common chemicals, including weak acids, alkalis, and oils.
For parts that are meant to be decorative or for indoor use without high exposure to UV rays, PLA or PETG might be more budget-friendly alternatives.
ASA is a strong choice for automotive exterior parts, outdoor enclosures and housings, and garden or furniture components exposed to long-term sun and weather.
