Material

SLS/MJF Glass-Filled Nylon PA12

Glass-filled nylon PA12 is a stiff, dimensionally stable PA12 with higher heat deflection than standard nylon. It is suited to rigid functional parts, though it is more brittle.

About

Glass-filled nylon PA12 is standard PA12 mixed with glass beads, typically 30–40% by weight. The glass roughly doubles stiffness and improves dimensional stability and heat deflection (roughly 160–180 °C under light load, which is not a continuous-use rating). Tensile strength stays similar to standard PA12, but elongation drops from roughly 20% to under 10%, so it handles impact poorly and thin walls or fine features break more easily.

Glass-filled nylon PA12 is a strong choice for rigid enclosures, housings, fixtures, and tooling.
