Material

SLS Glass-Filled Polypropylene

SLS glass-filled polypropylene is a stiffer, stronger polypropylene that resists heat much better under load (around 130 °C) than unfilled PP, with good chemical resistance, although it is denser and less ductile.

About

SLS glass-filled polypropylene is polypropylene reinforced with glass, keeping PP's chemical resistance and low moisture absorption.

It is stiffer, stronger, and deflects under load at about 130 °C instead of 60 °C when compared to unfilled PP. The trade-offs are weight and ductility: Density rises and elongation falls. Like other PP, it degrades in prolonged sunlight.

SLS glass-filled polypropylene works well for engine-compartment components, brackets, and chemical-resistant housings.
