Material

SLS Glass-Filled Nylon PA6

SLS glass-filled nylon PA6 is a very stiff nylon composite with high heat deflection (about 200 °C under load). It's a good choice for rigid, heat-exposed functional parts, though the material is not flexible and still absorbs moisture.

About

SLS glass-filled nylon PA6 (PA6 GF40) is PA6 nylon with about 40% glass fiber. Compared with unfilled PA6 it is roughly twice as stiff and holds its shape under load to about 200 °C (versus about 93-103 °C), with only modest strength gains.

The trade-off is ductility: Elongation is under 2%, so parts are rigid but not flexible. The PA6 base still absorbs moisture, which lowers strength and stiffness in humid conditions, and strength can vary with direction.

SLS glass-filled nylon PA6 works well for rigid housings and brackets that face load or heat.
