SLS Glass-Filled Nylon PA12

SLS glass-filled nylon PA12 is a stiff, wear-resistant PA12 with higher heat deflection under load than standard nylon, suited to rigid functional parts, though it is less ductile.

About

SLS glass-filled nylon PA12 is standard PA12 filled with glass beads, typically about 40% by weight.

The glass makes it roughly 1.5 to 2 times stiffer than unfilled PA12 and raises heat deflection under load by roughly 30 °C (to ~96 °C), while tensile strength stays similar. Elongation roughly halves in the layer plane (about 9% vs. 18%), and stiffness is lower across the layers than within them. Thin walls and fine features are therefore more fragile.

SLS glass-filled nylon PA12 is a strong choice for rigid housings, thermally stressed parts, and tooling.
