Material

MJF Polypropylene

MJF polypropylene is a lightweight, chemically resistant plastic with consistent properties in every direction. It is suited to durable functional parts and fluid-handling components, though it softens at around 60 °C under load.

About

MJF polypropylene (PP) is a lightweight, semi-rigid plastic with excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and good fatigue resistance.

Its strength (30 MPa) and density (0.89 g/cm³) are comparable to injection-molded PP, but it stretches far less before breaking (18–20% versus 100% or more), and its properties are nearly the same in every direction. Parts soften under load at around 60 °C, degrade in prolonged sunlight, and are difficult to paint.

MJF polypropylene is a good option for piping, fluid systems, containers, and other parts that handle liquids or chemicals.
