About

MJF flexible TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is a firm, rubber-like material (Shore hardness 88–90A) that bends and can stretch to several times its length.

It is tear-resistant, resists abrasion, and absorbs shock well, but isn't strong like rigid plastics and stretches about half as far across the layers. Parts soften at around 97 °C (and are therefore best kept below roughly 80 °C), and sustained compression can leave a permanent set. Flexible parts are only dimensionally stable to a limited extent.

MJF flexible TPU is commonly used for footwear, sports equipment, protective housings, and industrial tubes.
