Lightweight PLA

FDM

Lightweight PLA (LW-PLA) is a specialized 3D printing filament that expands up to three times its volume for lighter prints without losing the strength of standard PLA.

About

Lightweight PLA (LW-PLA) is specifically designed for applications where minimizing weight is crucial, such as 3D RC plane printing. LW-PLA can expand up to three times its initial volume when extruded at higher temperatures. This unique feature allows for the creation of lighter 3D printed objects without compromising the material's inherent strength, making it similar in durability to standard PLA.

The surface texture of objects printed with LW-PLA is typically more foamy and slightly rougher compared to those printed with regular PLA.
