SLS food safe metal detectable nylon PA12 is PA12 blended with metal particles and a blue colorant: The metal lets food-industry metal detectors and X-ray inspection find broken fragments, and the blue color makes them visible by eye.
Powders of this type are certified for food contact (for example under EC 1935/2004 and FDA 21 CFR), but certification covers the material, not automatically every finished part, and detection should be confirmed independently.
