About

CNC machined Tool Steel P20 is a versatile, pre-hardened tool steel designed for applications requiring good toughness, wear resistance, and dimensional stability. It is widely used in mold making and tooling due to its balanced mechanical properties, consistent hardness, and reliable machining performance.

Tool Steel P20 offers excellent capability to be polished, making it well suited for molds and tooling where surface quality is important. It also offers good toughness and resistance to mechanical stress, allowing components to perform reliably in demanding industrial environments. While its corrosion resistance is limited, surface treatments such as nitriding, plating, or coating can improve durability and service life.

Typical applications include plastic injection molds, die casting molds, tooling fixtures, mold bases, and structural machine components where strength, dimensional stability, and machinability are essential.
