About

O2 (90MnCrV8) is an oil-hardening cold-work tool steel closely related to O1, with added manganese improving hardenability.

It offers good dimensional stability during hardening and is considered a reliable, general-purpose cold-work grade rather than a specialist.

Tool steel O2 is suited to precision tools, measuring plates, dies, cutting plates, threading jaws, gauges, and molds for pressing plastic parts.
