About

H13 (X40CrMoV5-1) is supplied annealed, with good machinability.

Chromium improves hardenability and oxidation resistance, molybdenum adds high-temperature strength, and vanadium forms wear-resistant carbides.

Tool steel H13 is well suited to die casting dies, extrusion tooling, and plastic molds needing excellent polishability.
