About
Pure Iron DT4 is the base grade of China's GB/T 6983 electromagnetic pure iron series (DT4, DT4A, DT4E, DT4C, in ascending magnetic quality), with carbon content below 0.04% and iron purity above 99.85%. Its defining trait is soft-magnetic behavior – low coercivity, high permeability, no magnetic aging – rather than mechanical strength, so it isn't a general structural material. Full magnetic performance requires a post-machining magnetic annealing step.
It is well suited to DC electromagnetic relays, solenoids, magnetic clutches, and magnetic shielding components.
