Nickel-Iron Alloy 1J50 (FeNi50)

Nickel-iron alloy 1J50 (FeNi50) is a soft magnetic nickel-iron alloy (about 50% nickel) that combines high magnetic permeability with high saturation induction. It is used for transformer cores, relays, and magnetic circuit parts.

About

1J50 is a soft magnetic nickel-iron alloy with about 50% nickel, in the permalloy family.

Compared with 80% nickel permalloys, it saturates at a higher flux density, which suits parts carrying more magnetic flux. Its magnetic performance depends on a high-temperature magnetic anneal.

1J50 works well for transformer cores, relay parts, pole shoes, and other magnetic circuit components.
