About

2.4889 (Alloy 45TM or Nicrofer 45TM) is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy that forms a protective chromium oxide with a silica sub-layer, so it resists oxidation, carburization, and sulfur-bearing atmospheres. It doesn’t scale up to about 1,000 °C.

Nickel Alloy 2.4889 is commonly used for waste-incineration plant, refinery furnaces, and coal-gasification components.
