About

2.4816 (Alloy 600 or Inconel 600) is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy that resists hot chloride solutions, high-temperature oxidation, and reducing conditions, and is not susceptible to chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Annealed it is ductile and non-magnetic at room temperature, but it can't be hardened by heat treatment and is prone to stress corrosion cracking in high-temperature pure water.

Nickel Alloy 2.4816 is well suited to chemical-process reactors, caustic-alkali handling, and furnace components.
