About

Brass C37700 (CW617N) is a copper-zinc-lead alloy specifically developed for hot working. Its alpha-beta structure flows well at forging temperature, making it the standard grade for hot-forged valve bodies and fitting bodies that are then finish-machined.

Corrosion resistance is adequate for general use but requires coatings for marine environments.

The material is well suited to valve and fitting bodies, hydraulic connectors, bearings, bushings, and gears.
