Aluminum 1100 is a commercially pure (99% min) aluminum grade offering the best corrosion resistance and electrical/thermal conductivity of the wrought aluminum family, at the cost of lower strength than alloyed grades.

About

Aluminum 1100 is the most heavily alloyed of the 1000-series "commercially pure" aluminum grades (99.0% min Al), prized for outstanding corrosion resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and excellent formability. It's non-heat-treatable, strengthened only by cold working, and softer than 3003. The small manganese addition in 3003 gives it moderately higher strength, while 1100 keeps the edge on conductivity and corrosion resistance.

It isn't suitable for structural or high-load parts, but is a good option for chemical processing equipment, food-handling gear, reflectors, heat exchangers, and electrical/thermal conductor components.
