About

4J32, known as Super-Invar, is a Fe-Ni-Co alloy with an even lower coefficient of thermal expansion than standard Invar 36, though this ultra-low expansion only holds within a limited range (roughly -60 °C to +80 °C). It has good plasticity and machinability similar to austenitic alloys, but poor thermal conductivity, and its composition must be tightly controlled or expansion performance degrades.

4J32 is suitable for precision instruments, resonant cavities, standard length scales, and astronomical instrument frames.
