Castable wax is a nearly pure wax material used to create investment casting patterns. It offers the cleanest, most traditional burnout behavior of any castable option.

Castable wax is composed almost entirely of wax, closely matching the burnout behavior jewelers and casters have relied on with traditional hand-carved wax patterns. It typically requires specialized wax-jetting printers rather than standard resin printers, which makes it more expensive than resin-based alternatives. In exchange, it offers the cleanest possible burnout with essentially no ash residue, along with excellent surface finish and fine detail reproduction.
Castable wax suits high-end jewelry, intricate filigree, and precision castings where the truest possible wax-like results justify the added cost and specialized equipment.
