PMMA

Binder Jetting

Plus d’infos

PMMA powder (also known as polymethyl methacrylate or acrylic) is bound together using a liquid binder, which hardens after a few seconds. After printing, the parts are hardened in a heat chamber, where the powder is fused together and sandblasted to reduce surface porosity. The resulting part offers a light coarse texture, high level of stiffness, and a low density of 1 g/m^3. Due to the high reusability of the remaining powder, parts can be manufactured more cost-efficiently.
